Thank you for stopping by! I hope you find this blog informative and encouraging as I know the world of blogging has done much for my faith in the Lord, growth as a Christian and wisdom as a wife and mother.
My name is Andrea. I started this blog as an offshoot of my personal blog that my husband and I started back in 2006 when we first got married and travelled to Serbia with Campus Crusade for Christ on their summer project mission trips. We used it as a means to stay in contact with whoever wanted to hear about the trip. We were blessed to have Amelia join our family in 2009 and from the moment we found out we were pregnant with her I started blogging a lot about our pregnancy progress and things really got intense after she was born with pictures and updates. This past year of 2012 God has really been growing me in my knowledge of Him and being a Godly wife and mother as well as learning about homeschooling and frugal and natural living. Blogs have been my main source of information and wisdom. I continually post about what I’ve learned and applied for many reasons to include keeping a so-called journal or record keeper of all that I’ve learned and to share with whoever cares to read. Maybe I can give some direction to someone out there the way many of the Blogs I’ve read have done for me. I found myself posting a LOT of posts between all of these things and decided it was time to start a blog separate from our personal blog for our friends and family who just want to see pictures and are not interested in everything else : ) Hence… the birth of this blog.
I titled the blog “Every Opportunity” because that is one of the verses the Lord continually brings me back to DAILY.
“Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish but understand what the Lord’s will is.” Ephesians 5:15-16
The place in life that Adam and I are at now is one of constant change requiring loads of flexibility and patience. I am quick to want to shut down and not work on certain things (homeschool, growth in the Lord, developing relationships with friends and family, etc.) until we are “settled”. But this is not biblical. God wants me to make the most of every opportunity… no matter how short lived that opportunity is. This has been my motivation behind all of the research and wisdom I have sought after in the various topics discussed in this blog. I don’t want the next 10 years to go by and to live with regret that I should’ve spent more time doing this and not doing that. I want to act on a prompting from the Lord and I want to be diligent in walking with Him where He takes me.
I do hope you find some encouragement here and stick around if you feel so led.
With love from Him,
